How to create and set an application icon (cocoa)

  1. Run Icon Composer (part of XCode)
  2. Drag your image(s) in, until it looks like this
    Image:IconComposerTutorial01.png and
    Image:IconComposerTutorial02.png and
    Image:IconComposerTutorial03.png
  3. Now save it into your project folder like this:
    Image:IconComposerTutorial04.png
  4. Set the Icons-File-name in the properties:
    Image:IconComposerTutorial05.png
  5. Drag the Icons-File into your project's Resources:
    Image:IconComposerTutorial06.png
  6. If everything worked, it looks now like this:
    Image:IconComposerTutorial07.png and
    Image:IconComposerTutorial08.png
