Trusted Certificate
If you're connecting a IPA rather than a hostname, you have to trust the cert explicitly.
Advanced Options→ Security→ Trusted Certificate
- Paste what you get here:
sudo openfortivpn vpn.yourdomain.de:443 -u <username>
