Poschtler is just a mail-checking application. There are plenty of those out there, but I wanted to do my own^[1].

Shows unread-mail-count in menubar
Shows unread mail list
Notifies you of new mails using Growl
Double-click opens the mail
not yet built in:
- extensible script interface to...
  - ...invoke action on new mail (f.e. playing sounds, reading the subject...)
  - ...invoke action on predefined keyword found in subject or sender
  - ...let's see...
