Nextcloud iOS App photos sync stall

The Issue

Setup 2022-08-16

• iPhone 7
• iOS 15.6
• Nextcloud Server 24.0.4
• Nextcloud liquid 4.4.0.18 (iOS Client)

Description

• Images are stuck in Transfers, "Uploading", no progress
• Cancelling one-by-one or clearing cache cancels transfer, restart not possible

The Analysis

• restart app → no change
• restart server (apache) → no change
• restart iOS → no change

The Workaround(s)

1. On iOS:
   1. Disable Location Services
      • Clear Cache in App / cancel uploads
      • Quit App
      • Settings → Privacy → Location Services → Disable Location Services
   2. Launch App
   3. If you have still photos to upload in your camera roll, use Upload whle camera roll
   4. Enable Location Services
