Simplify3D is a nice software[1] that:

  • creates great support structures, that will easily remove
  • does what it says - makes it easy to get good results, great for beginners
  • creates .x3g and .gcode, great for older printers like my CTC Bizer
  • seems to be no longer improved (that's sad! I really like it!)
  • is a bit pricy
